Een LED movinghead is een compacte verlichtingsarmatuur die is ontworpen voor gebruik in kleinere ruimtes, zoals thuisstudio’s of kleine clubs. Het is een beweegbare lamp die kan draaien en kantelen om lichtstralen in verschillende richtingen te projecteren. LED movingheads zijn kleiner en lichter dan de professionele discolamp movingheads en zijn daarom gemakkelijker te installeren en te vervoeren.
De meeste mini LED movingheads hebben ingebouwde LED-lampen die energiezuinig zijn en lang meegaan. Ze bieden vaak een breed scala aan kleurenopties en effecten, waaronder stroboscoop, dimmer, en prisma-effecten. LED movingheads kunnen worden bediend met behulp van DMX-controllers of met behulp van een ingebouwde automatische of geluidsgeactiveerde modus.
In vergelijking met de professionele discolamp movingheads bieden LED movingheads weliswaar minder mogelijkheden en zijn ze minder krachtig, maar ze zijn meer betaalbaar en kunnen een geweldige optie zijn voor degenen die thuis een kleine lichtshow willen creëren.
